台北一零一,信義區,台北 (Táiběi 101, Xìnyì Qū, Táiběi)

Táiběi 101-English Speakers pronounce it as Taipei 101 (the city is also really pronounced as Táiběi), but either way you say it is acceptable.
This was the world's tallest building (508m), from 2004 until 2010, now it's the world's second tallest.  It resides in the Xinyi district (Xìnyì Qū) & so do we, so we see it from many angles almost everyday.

Here are a few of our iPhone snapshots.  We plan to actually visit it's observation decks soon...to be continued...

我们 到了! (Wǒmen dàole!) We arrived!

On 12/8/12 at 11:00 pm (Taipei time), after 21+ hours, we arrived at Taoyuan International Airport.

We had arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport, however there was no one holding a sign with our names on it :(  We waited a while, and then concluded we were going to have to find our own way to the apartment...I don't blame the guy our flight was two hours late.

With bus tickets, a map, & help from a few locals we were in our apartment by 3:00 am (12/9/12).

12/10/12- Monday afternoon, our first thought was, "assimilate". So, we went to try the local cuisine. Now I know what you are thinking, but this chicken sandwich is made out of dark meat...white meat is used in the U.S. of A.
Ordering our meals was actually quite a challenge, I would start out in Chinese then throw in an English word like "Cheese", then the young cashier girl would burst out laughing & look around for a fellow co-worker that could possibly translate the word "Cheese".
